Meets as needed at City Hall. Develops and implements brownfield projects.
Construction Code Board of Appeals
Meets as needed at City Hall. Resolves disputes regarding interpretation of the Construction Code.
Downtown Development Authority (4 yr. term in June)
Meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month in the Commission Chambers at 8:00 a.m.. Assists in the creation of a consumer friendly downtown that promotes historic preservation, property redevelopment and economic growth.

Election Commission (1 yr. in June or 30 days prior to an election)
Meets 3 weeks prior to a city election at City Hall. Appoints the Board of Election inspectors for each precinct and has charge of all activities & duties required by statute and City Charter relating to the conduct of elections in the city.
Fire Prevention Code Board of Appeals (5 yr. term in Dec.)
Meets as needed at City Hall. Resolves disputes regarding interpretation of the Fire Prevention Code.
Historic District Commission (3 yr. term in August)
Meets as needed. Reviews all plans for work on exterior renovations to buildings located in the Historic District

Meets as needed at City Hall. Determines the salaries of city officials.
Planning Commission (3 yr. term in April)
Meets 1st Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers. Establishes and enforces regulations for the use of public and private land.
