Yard Waste Collection
Curbside yard waste collection will occur twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
Fall yard waste collection will begin on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Yard waste will be collected every Tuesday throughout November. All yard waste shall be placed in biodegradable and/ or compostable paper bags and must not weigh more than fifty (50) pounds. Unapproved containers, including plastic bags, will not be picked up for collection.
Yard waste includes: grass clippings, leaves, garden debris, small branches less than 1/4 inch diameter, and shrubbery. Note: It is against city ordinance to rake/blow leaves into the streets or leave them loose at the curb.
Bundled branches and brush must meet the following guidelines:
- Tied in bundles no longer than three (3) feet in length or 12 inches in diameter.
- Bundles are placed parallel with the curb.
- Bundles weigh less than fifty (50) pounds.
- Brush/Branches will NOT be accepted in bags, boxes or any other containers.
Residents may take yard waste to the Adrian Compost Site from May to December.
