Yard Waste Collection
Spring Yard Waste Collection will take place on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 and Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
All yard waste shall be placed in biodegradable and/ or compostable paper bags and must not weigh more than fifty (50) pounds. Unapproved containers, including plastic bags, will not be picked up for collection.
Yard waste includes: grass clippings, leaves, garden debris, small branches less than 1/4 inch diameter, and shrubbery. Note: It is against city ordinance to rake/blow leaves into the streets or leave them loose at the curb.
Bundled branches and brush must meet the following guidelines:
- Tied in bundles no longer than three (3) feet in length or 12 inches in diameter.
- Bundles are placed parallel with the curb.
- Bundles weigh less than fifty (50) pounds.
- Brush/Branches will NOT be accepted in bags, boxes or any other containers.
Residents may take yard waste to the Adrian Compost Site from May to December. Non-residents may take yard waste to the compost site for a fee. Visit the Compost Site page for more information.
