Adrian Dial-A-Ride celebrates 40 years!

From the Lenawee County & City of Adrian Transportation Coordinator Marcia Bohannon:

April 7, 2016 marked the 40th anniversary of the City of Adrian’s Dial-A-Ride program. The program began with 6-buses with one of them being wheel-chair accessible. Today, the Dial-A-Ride program has a fleet of 7-vehicles and all of them are wheel-chair accessible.

Dial-A-Ride is the public transportation system in Adrian that will pick you up and take you anywhere you want to go in the city limits of Adrian. Call 265-6611 and let the dispatcher know where you need to be picked up and where you want to go. The dispatcher will send a bus to pick you up!

Ticket books may be purchased at Adrian City Hall, our dispatch center located at 377 Logan Street or from the bus driver for $20.00. There are (20) $1.00 tickets in each book. Cash is also accepted when boarding the bus and exact change is required. The regular fare is $2.00 for the general public and only $1.00 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Children less than 1-year old can ride for free.

Dial-A-Ride operates Monday through Friday from 6am until 5:30pm, with the last call at 4:30pm.

We have provided over 3.5 million rides since opening our doors in 1976.
