August Primary Election Tuesday, August 6, 2019
On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 there will be a primary election held for the City of Adrian at the LENAWEE County Fairgrounds, Merchants Building. The poling location will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The August Primary will only have the following four candidates running for City Commissioner for the Partial Term ending 11/8/2021.
1. Gordon D. Gauss
2. Iona Folk
3. Kyle O’Connor
4. Kirk Valentine
The purpose of this election is to narrow down the four to the top two candidates who will then move on to the November 5, 2019 City Election.
All precincts will be voting in the Merchant’s Building at the Lenawee County Fair and Event Grounds, 602 S Dean Street. You can check to see if you are registered to vote by going to the following website: Am I Registered to Vote?. You can also call the City of Adrian, City Clerk’s Office at 517-264-4866 or 517-264-4833. When entering the Merchant’s Building you will need to fill out an Application to Vote before you head to your poling location. You will also have to have your driver’s license or other form of acceptable ID available for the precinct worker to scan in the computer to issue a ballot.
An absentee ballot may be obtained anytime at City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The last day an absentee ballot application can be accepted and the ballot mailed out would be Friday, August 2, 2019 by 5:00 pm.
On the Saturday or Monday before Election Day they may also be obtained until 4:00 p.m. In this case all ballots must be voted at City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office. All Absentee ballots must be received at the clerk’s office no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS CANNOT BE ISSUED ON ELECTION DAY.
