The City of Adrian is accepting applicants for an Account Clerk II in our Finance Department.  Applicant must have knowledge of basic accounting practices.  Other necessary skills include maintaining records and using office equipment; including computers and related software.  Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and assist the public. Strong customer service and cash handling skills are required. 

A high school diploma or equivalent, with coursework in accounting, business or finance is strongly preferred.  Minimum of two years’ experience in an office setting is required.

The City of Adrian is currently seeking two qualified O & M Operator III employees for our Utilities Department.  Candidate must obtain a CDL license (Class B with air brakes) within 90 days of hire and have the ability to run a backhoe and loader. Work assignments include operation and repair of the City of Adrian water and sewer systems, and the ability to assist with sewer trucks when necessary. Candidate must be able to work outdoors and must be able to do heavy lifting and shoveling. Familiarity with confined space entry rules and regulations, ability to make entries, and completion of associated training is required. Candidate must have available means of contact in case of emergencies.  Employee must obtain S-4 License within 3 test cycles as offered by the State of Michigan.  Starting wage: $23.11 per hour.
