Firefighter/Paramedic

The Adrian, MI Fire Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Non-SAFER Grant Funded full-time Firefighter / Paramedic.

Starting Salary as of July 1, 2022:

FF I & II with EMT License or Paramedic License without FF I & II $54,498.65

FF I & II with Paramedic License $55,493.85

After completion of probation (usually 12 months) and Michigan Certified FF I & II and Michigan Paramedic License after July 1, 2023 $65,716.12

Additional benefits are outlined in the current union contract including a $3000 per year paramedic bonus.

Requirements: 18 years of age or older; US Citizen; HSD/GED; Michigan FF I & II preferred but not required; Michigan licensed EMT required; Michigan licensed Paramedic required within 3 years of start date; Haz-mat Operations if FF I & II certified; Valid MI driver’s license or equivalent; ability to successfully complete physical exam, drug screen, and background check.

To be considered for the oral board the candidate must complete an application for employment and provide copies of fire/EMS licensing.
