Upcoming Election

To The Qualified Electors Of The City Of Adrian, County Of Lenawee:
Elections for the City of Adrian are held at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds in the Merchants Building at 602 N. Dean Street, Adrian, Michigan 49221.  Polls are open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Election Dates for the 2023 Calendar Year are as follows:
Tuesday, May 2, 2023 (No election at this time for the City of Adrian)
Tuesday, August 8, 2023 (To be determined based on number of petitions filed)
Tuesday, November 7, 2023 - City General Election

The following terms will be on the ballot:
Mayor - 2 year term
Commissioner - 4 year term
Commissioner - 4 year term
Commissioner - 4 year term

Terms will be expiring for Mayor Angela Heath, Commissioner Mary Roberts,
Commissioner Lad Strayer and Commissioner Allen Heldt.

Nominating Petitions will be available for pickup starting Monday, January 9, 2023. 
*  To qualify you must be a registered voter in the City of Adrian.
*  Petitions must have 50 valid signatures from registered voters in the City of Adrian.
*  No person shall sign his name to a greater number of petitions for any one office than
    there are persons to be elected to said office at the following regular city election.
*  You must submit petitions to run for Mayor or City Commission.
*  You cannot pay a filing fee instead of submitting nominating petitions with signatures.
*  Petitions for the City of Adrian are due by 4:00 pm on April 25, 2023.

The Statement of Organization Form has to be submitted to the County Clerk, Roxann Holloway, 20 days
from the
date of filing with the City Clerk. Questions about this form should be directed to the County Clerk.
