Upcoming Election

To The Qualified Electors Of The City Of Adrian, County Of Lenawee:
In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order 2020-147 masks are required to be worn in public places. Voters are strongly encouraged to wear masks in the polling place. Voters without masks will still be permitted to vote.

Election: Presidential Election

Election Date: Tuesday, November 3,  2020

The City of Adrian will be holding the Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. The Election will be held in two buildings for this November only. We will be using the Agricultural and Merchants Building at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds.

Agricultural Building -  Precincts 1, 2 and 3
Merchants Building - Precincts 4, 5 and 6

The Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 pm.

There will be someone in the parking lot directing traffic and helping voters determine which precinct they vote in.

The deadline to register to vote in any manner other than with the City Clerk is 14 days before the election. If you register to vote within that 14 days at the Secretary of State’s office or website you must also come to the City Clerk’s office to show identification to be eligible to vote in the upcoming election.
We do allow same day voter registration, but you must appear at the City Clerk’s Office with proof of residency. For this election only there will be a satellite Clerk’s Office set up at the fairgrounds to also allow for same day voter registration.

To check to see if you are registered to vote in the City of Adrian go to the following website: https://webapps.sos.state.mi.us/MVIC/. If you are not registered to vote it is important that you contact the clerk’s office. You can call the City of Adrian, City Clerk’s Office at 517-264-4866 or 517-264-4833.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS

Absentee ballots can be obtained by mail until Friday, October 30th by 5:00 pm.
Absentee ballots can also be obtained at the City of Adrian, City Clerk’s Office on the 2nd floor until Monday, November 2nd by 4:00 pm. If the ballot is issued on that Monday, November 2nd, it must be voted at the City Clerk’s Office.

The City Clerk’s Office will be open Saturday, October 31st from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm to allow for voter registration and to issue and receive absentee ballots.

PLEASE NOTE: THE CITY OF ADRIAN DOES HAVE A LOCKED DROP BOX AVAILABLE AT THE BACK OF CITY HALL YOU CAN  DROP OFF YOUR APPLICATION OR BALLOT.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE THE PAYMENT BOX LOCATED ON THE BACK WALL OF CITY HALL TO THE RIGHT OF THE DOORS.
