We will accept applications for new Commercial Marihuana Permits from March 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022.
It is important to read all the information provided below before you apply (such as Ordinances, FAQ's, etc.)
There are currently no permits available in the B-1, B-2 district for provisioning centers / retail establishments.
No permit applications will be accepted outside of the stated times for renewal or new applications for any reason. Once the doors close at 4:30 pm on the deadline the permit application window for that type of application will be closed. If a current permit holder fails to submit a timely renewal application during the renewal applicant time period, but submits the application during the new applicant period, the application will be processed as a new application.
Any application missing information in any required field will be deemed incomplete and is subject to denial of the permit. Each question in the application must be answered in its entirety and all the information requested and required by this article must be submitted in the application. Failure to comply with these rules and the application requirements in the article is grounds for denial of the application.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NEW APPLICANTS MUST OBTAIN A ZONING COMPLIANCE / EXCEPTION PERMITFROM THE ZONING DEPARTMENT PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL. PERMITS ARE REVIEWED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, WHICH MEETS ONCE A MONTH. PLEASE CONTACT THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AT 517-264-4861 FOR MORE INFORMATION. THE ZONING COMPLIANCE / EXCEPTION PERMIT MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE FOLLOWING EMAIL ADDRESS AT INSPECTIONS@ADRIANMI.GOV. ALL FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT WILL BE APPROVED.
THESE ZONING PERMITS CANNOT BE SUBMITTED FOR A MARIHUANA FACILITY UNTIL AN APPLICATION FOR A MARIHUANA FACILITY HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE.
