Commercial Marihuana Facilities

The City of Adrian will be accepting new and renewal applications on the dates listed below.  Please make sure before applying  for renewal of your permit that all fees (utility bills, taxes, etc) are paid on the property.  For new applicants make sure that all zoning requirements are met and all fees are paid to the Inspections Department.   Refer to the Marihuana FAQ's link listed below for further information regarding our Commercial Marihuana Permit process. 

The application period for  the renewal of a medical marihuana permit is as follows:

Renewal Medical Permits - March 1, 2021 through March 26, 2021 
Renewal Adult Use / Dual Purpose Permits - March 1, 2021 through March 26, 2021

The application period for new applicants is as follows:
New Medical Permits - July 6, 2021 through July 30, 2021
New Adult Use / Dual Purpose Permits - July 6, 2021 though July 30, 2021

No permit applications will be accepted outside of the above stated times for any reason.  Once the doors close at 4:30 pm on the deadline the permit application window for that type of permit will be closed.   If a current permit holder fails to submit a timely renewal application during the renewal applicant time period, but submits the application during the new applicant period, the application will be processed as a new application.  

Any application missing information in any required field will be deemed incomplete and is subject to denial of the permit. Each question in the application must be answered in its entirety and all the information requested and required by this article must be submitted in the application. Failure to comply with these rules and the application requirements in the article is grounds for denial of the application.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NEW APPLICANTS MUST OBTAIN A ZONING COMPLIANCE / EXCEPTION PERMIT FROM THE ZONING DEPARTMENT PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL. PERMITS ARE REVIEWED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION, WHICH MEETS ONCE A MONTH. PLEASE CONTACT THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AT 517-264-4861 FOR MORE INFORMATION.   THE ZONING COMPLIANCE / EXCEPTION PERMIT MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE FOLLOWING EMAIL ADDRESS AT INSPECTIONS@ADRIANMI.GOV.   ALL FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE THE APPLICATION FOR A PERMIT WILL BE APPROVED.
