Upcoming Election

To The Qualified Electors Of The City Of Adrian, County Of Lenawee:
Elections for the City of Adrian are held at the Lenawee County Fair & Event Grounds in the Merchants Building at 602 N. Dean Street, Adrian, Michigan 49221. 

Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.


Election Dates for the 2023 Calendar Year are as follows:
Tuesday, November 7, 2023 - City General Election

Precincts will be combined for the General Election.

*  Precincts 1 & 2 will vote in Precinct 1
*  Precincts 3 & 4 will vote in Precinct 2
*  Precincts 5 & 6 will vote in Precinct 3


The following candidates will be on the November 7, 2023 City General Ballot:

2. Current Commisssioner Allen Heldt

COMMISSION
1.    Commissioner Mary Roberts
2.    Brad Watson
3.    Joaquin Ramos
4.    Tom Faulhaber
5.    Robert Behnke
6.    Matt Schwartz

Terms will be expiring for Mayor Angela Heath, Commissioner Mary Roberts,
Commissioner Lad Strayer and Commissioner Allen Heldt.

The City of Adrian is always accepting applications for election inspectors to work. To apply to become an election inspector, review the qualifications and requirements below, and submit your completed application to the City Clerk.

General Qualifications

    • Must be a qualified and registered elector of the State of Michigan.
    • Must be 18 years of age; a person who is 16 or 17 years of age may be appointed with special conditions.
    • Must be able to work be able to work from 6 a.m. to approximately 9:30 p.m. on Election Day.
    • Must have transportation to and from polling location. Shall have a good clerical ability to perform duties.
    • Computer experience. 

Requirements & Duties

    • Must fill out and submit an Election Inspector Application.
    • Open and close the polling place location.
    • Set up voting booths, tables, precinct supplies and voting equipment.
    • Able to use a laptop computer to record voter history.
    • Issue voters their ballot.
    • Assist voters in any phase of the voting process.
    • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Chairperson.
    • Paid training and pay for election day work.
